Suriya to replace Mahesh Babu

It seems rumours about Shankar’s 3 Idiots remake are never going to end! The latest speculation doing the rounds is that star hero Suriya, who has a huge fan base in Telugu and Tamil, has replaced Mahesh Babu and Vijay in both the versions of 3 Idiots remake. According to reports, Mahesh Babu and Vijay have walked out of Shankar's project. So, to fill their slots, the makers of 3 Rascals(Tentative Title of 3 Idiots remake) have opted to go with one hero who can reach out to both Telugu and Tamil audiences. Suriya’s name has been in the cards from the day the production house Gemini Circuit bought the remake rights. But later Mahesh Babu and Vijay were approached and they had also shown interest to do the project. Mahesh Babu himself has revealed that the dates of the film were clashing with his current film Dhookudu. Now, as they have reportedly opted out of the project, the story on Suriya has again started doing the rounds. It is interesting to note that Suriya's blockbuster Ghajini was remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan. Both the versions were superhit and critics didn't stop from comparing them. Now, if Suriya can pull off 3 Idiots remake, we will get a better picture to measure the actors.
