Though the Congress keeps repeating that the TDP could not even recover its deposit in the recent by-elections, the fact is that the part knew its own fate even before the elections. No wonder then that none of the stalwarts of the Congress party even campaigned. Forget the CM, who categorically stated that he would not campaign, but even somebody like Rahul Gandhi was never invited to campaign even for a single day. This just goes to show that the Congress knew its fate much earlier than the day of polling. As regards D Srinivas he was ignorant, he never dreamt that he would have to see a day like this.
