Hyderabad, Dec 20: Stating that the services of the Telugu Desam party president, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, to the country were indispensable, the former chief minister, Mr Konijeti Rosaiah, has said that the State government had a bounden duty to protect his precious life.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Moday about the disruption of former chief minister’s indefinite hunger strike, his arrest and forcibly shifting him to the NIMS hospital, Mr Rosaiah said that no government would remain a silent spectator if Mr Naidu wants to sacrifice his life for the cause of the farmers. He also said that if there were any problems, they could be discussed and solved across the table, he added.
Meanwhile, the Union Mnister of State for Defence, Mr Pallam Raju, has admitted that the farmers in the State suffered huge losses and urged Mr Chandrababu Naidu to give up his fast as the Centre and State governments have responded immediately.
